Kevin J. Grochow
Kevin J. Grochow is the Founder and Managing Attorney of KJG Trial Lawyers. He is a skilled litigator with broad experience handling a variety of types of civil litigation, including business, commercial, municipal, insurance, construction, real estate, toxic tort, environmental, and professional liability matters. Kevin’s practice also focuses on the defense of insurance companies and their insured individuals and businesses in a wide array of general liability matters, and defending Cities and other public entities in general liability and civil rights actions.
Kevin has extensive litigation experience from pre-lawsuit through the conclusion of trial and beyond from routinely handling all aspects of his cases in both state and federal trial and appellate courts. Kevin’s unwavering commitment to his clients is apparent in the results he has been able to obtain, as he creatively and strategically tailors his work to his clients’ goals and mitigates their exposure as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Kevin practiced at large law firms for 12 years before starting KJG Trial Lawyers, and is able to bring that big law firm quality and experience to his clients in a more efficient, affordable, and personalized manner.

- Obtaining dismissal on summary judgment in a large exposure personal injury matter for a City alleged to be negligent in the design of a major roadway after a car accident resulted in major injuries to pedestrians.
- Obtaining dismissal on summary judgment in a personal injury lawsuit against a City alleging a dangerous condition of public property in a busy beach parking lot.
- Successfully defending and tendering Prop-65 and other environmental claims brought against a large retailer with dozens of California locations.
- Obtaining a favorable resolution for a large retailer in a consumer protection lawsuit alleging false advertising and unfair/fraudulent business practices related to pricing and advertising strategies over many years and affecting hundreds of thousands of transactions.
- Consulting with a City to develop protocols for responding to sewage backups and water main breaks within the City to proactively respond to and assist affected residents to deter and prevent future lawsuit.

Lauren Grochow
Lauren Grochow is of Counsel at KJG Trial Lawyers, advising on business litigation matters. Lauren has practiced before numerous state and federal courts and successfully handled several trials (jury and bench) and arbitrations. She provides representation to middle market, emerging growth, and individual clients in the core areas of business and commercial litigation involving breach of contract, business torts, breach of fiduciary duty, corporate governance, and other matters.
Lauren Grochow meets her client’s legal needs by focusing on their unique situations and goals. She spent nearly a decade practicing at top law firms, representing clients in a wide variety of subject matters and industries. Lauren delivers “Big Law” proficiency and quality, but more efficiently, affordably, and personalized to each client.
Lauren has successfully represented clients through employment disputes, corporate governance disputes, partnership disputes, real estate disputes, class action lawsuits, breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, and intellectual property disputes. Lauren’s ability to draw upon that experience and willingness to dive in and get to know your situation allows her to think “outside of the box,” plan ahead, avoid problems, resolve disputes, and deliver results.

Daniel Kalinowski
Daniel Kalinowski is of Counsel at KJG Trial Lawyers with extensive experience in trial advocacy. He has chaired numerous trials in Federal and State Courts to verdict in favor of his clients. Daniel strives to resolve his cases through high-quality but cost-conscious and effective representation. He also has experience arbitrating cases. Daniel handles all aspects of litigation from inception through trial.
Daniel was previously a Senior Attorney at a preeminent Los Angeles based law firm for several years representing plaintiffs against multi-billion dollar companies, specifically in the areas of consumer rights protection and mass tort litigation. Prior to that, he worked as an associate attorney at a boutique business litigation firm in Orange County.
Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Irvine, graduating cum laude before obtaining his law degree from Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law. Daniel has been admitted to practice law in California since 2015. Daniel is licensed to practice in California and all United States District Courts throughout the state.

Bahareh M. Parvin
Bahareh is a dedicated and accomplished attorney with extensive background in finance, Real Estate, family law, insurance defense, and business litigation. Transitioning into her second career, Bahareh pursued her passion for law by earning her Juris Doctor degree, and passing the California Bar, while working full-time in a demanding corporate role and raising two young children. Her diverse professional experience, cultural insight, and unwavering commitment to client advocacy uniquely position her to excel in complex legal matters. Fluent in Farsi and deeply rooted in her Iranian American heritage, she brings a nuanced perspective to her practice, complemented by her extensive experience in financial services and real estate matters.
Bahareh’s professional experience includes obtaining trial advocacy skills through participation in the Trial Basics Practicum, presented by the Southern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and serving as a mediator in matters with favorable outcomes. Now transitioning to insurance and business litigation, she applies her litigation acumen and risk management expertise to represent clients in complex claims, drawing on her financial services background to navigate intricate disputes.
Bahareh is licensed to practice in the State of California, and maintains her California Real Estate License. She is active within the Orange County Bar Association and Iranian American Bar Association.
Bahareh enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, frequent visits to the beach, and maintaining an active lifestyle such as a passionate Jiu Jitsu practitioner, embodying discipline, and perseverance in both her personal and professional life.

Carol Rugh
Carol earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Scripps College in Claremont, California. She went on to earn her teaching credential and Juris Doctor from Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law. As a law student, she competed as a member of the mock trial team and was a governor for the American Bar Association’s law student division.
Prior to attending law school, Carol worked as a social studies teacher, volleyball coach, and basketball coach at the middle school and high school level. Carol interned with the Public Defenders office while in law school, and then worked in Dependency Court defending parents after graduating. Since becoming an attorney, Carol worked in-house at an insurance company representing its insureds in personal injury matters and environmental cases, where she gained valuable trial experience and obtained a defense verdict in her first trial. Carol also worked in education law before coming to KJG Trial Lawyers, representing school districts and public entities.
Carol is admitted to the State Bar of California and all United States District Courts throughout California.
